Poker In Texas

The goal of a Poker In Texas Hold’em – No Limit, is to use your hole cards in combination with the community cards to make the best possible five-card poker hand. At the beginning of a round, each player is dealt two cards in hand. Over several betting rounds, five more cards are (eventually) dealt face up in the middle of the table.

The face-up cards in the middle, are called the ‘community cards.’ Each player is free to use the community cards in combination with their own cards to build a five-card poker hand. With each betting round the five community cards are dealt in three stages:
-The Flop: the first three community cards.
-The Turn: the fourth community card.
-The River:The fifth and final community card.

You need to construct your five-card poker hands using the best available five cards out of the seven total cards (your two hand cards and the five community cards). You can do that by using both your hole cards in combination with three community cards, one hole card in combination with four community cards, or no hole cards. If the cards on the table lead to a better combination, you can also play all five community cards and forget about yours.

The play moves clockwise around the table, starting with the first action to the left of the dealer button. In this app, the dealer ‘button’ is shown as a small hand icon in the box of the player. The first two players sitting to the immediate left of the button are required to post a ‘small blind’ and a ‘big blind’ to initiate the betting. Before every new hand begins, two players at the table are obligated to post small and big blinds. The blinds are forced bets that begin the wagering. In the game options, you can configure the amounts that are used in the blinds. Note: If you want to change the blind values during your game, you can change them in the game-options while playing. The first round of betting takes place right after each player has been dealt two hole cards.

The first player to act is the player to the left of the big blind. The first player has three options:
-Call: match the amount of the big blind
-Raise: increase the bet. Since we play No-Limis you can raise to all your money (all-in)
-Fold: throw the hand away and loose this round

After the first player acts, the play proceeds in a clockwise fashion around the table with each player also having the same three options — to call, to raise, or fold.

Once the last bet is called and the action is ‘closed,’ the preflop round is over and play moves on to the “flop.” (Flop = the first three community cards are dealt and a second betting round follows involving only the players who have not folded already.)

In this betting round (and subsequent ones), the action starts with the first active player to the left of the button. Along with the options to bet, call, fold, or raise, a player now has the option to ‘check’ if no betting action has occurred beforehand. A check simply means to pass the action to the next player in the hand.

Again betting continues until the last bet or raise has been called (which closes the action). It also can happen that every player simply chooses not to be and checks around the table, which also ends the betting round.

The betting rounds continue up until the Final Betting Round: The River, where the fifth community card is visible. After all betting action has been completed, the remaining players in the hand with hole cards now expose their holdings to determine a winner. This is called the showdown.

The remaining players show their hole cards, and with the assistance of the dealer, a winning hand is determined. The player with the best combination of five cards wins the pot according to the official poker hand rankings.

Mex With Dices

Mex is a dice game also known as Mexes, Maxxen, Mexico or Mexicans. The game is played with two dice thrown simultaneously. The first player determines how often the dice may be rolled, with a maximum of three times. When the first player is satisfied with his score after two throws, the remaining players are only allowed to throw twice. The last number of throws counts, not the highest score.

To determine the value of the dice the following applies: The highest number of pips represents the tens. The lowest number of pips represents the units. So when a 3 and a 6 are rolled, this player has 63 points. When two equal pips are thrown, it counts as a hundred. If you throw double 4, you have scored 400 points.

A special throw, called the Mexx, is the highest throw achievable and consists of a 2 and a 1. If a Mexx is thrown in the game round, the lowest thrower gets 2 penalty points (instead of one). If another Mexx is thrown in the same round, the lowest thrower will receive two additional penalty points.

When each player has thrown, the round is lost by the player with the lowest score. This player has to start a new round and loses one (or more) lives.

Each player starts with 12 lives. The loser of a round is the one who has thrown the lowest score of all players and gets 1 penalty point (or more, if a mex has been thrown). As long as you have lives left, you stay in the game. If your lives reach 0 (or lower) you are out of the game. The other players continue to play until there is only 1 player left. The number of starting lives can be set in the game options.

If no player has thrown a Mex in a round, the player who is throwing may decide to end the round. This may be useful if this player has a low score and there are still players allowed to throw in this round. In that case there is a risk that these players will also throw a Mexx. If a player decides to abort a round and this player has the same lowest score as a previous player in this round, only the dice value of the player who aborts the round will go down 1.

If in a round two or more players have thrown the same lowest score then these players play one extra round to determine who really loses the round. However, in this round you may only throw 1 time instead of the normal 3 times. This can be repeated if necessary. If e.g. the normal round results in 3 players with the lowest score and 2 players remain in the 1st additional round, then a 2nd additional round is necessary to decide the normal round.

The last player in a tie may choose how the dice value should be counted: pips, or mex. With pips just the 2 and 5 become 7, 1 and 2 become 3 (so no mex). With the mex count the usual mex count is used, so 3 and 6 is 63. A Mexican thrown in an extra round still stands for the highest, but no extra lives are lost with the loser.

If you manage to play a round without losing, you get 1 point. If you throw a mex in that round, you get 2 points extra. If you lose the round, you lose one point. If you manage to be the last player left, you get 5 extra points.

Thirty With Dices

Thirty with dices is a dice game you play by throwing 6 dices. You need to reach a total of 30 by throwing the dices. Every time you throw, you must hold at least one dice that will add up to your total. When all dices have been hold, you can end your turn. If your dice total is below 30, you lose the amount of lives under 30. E.g. if with a total of 27, you’ll lose (30-27 =) 3 lives.

When the game starts, everyone starts with 30 lives (different amounts can be configured in the game options). You are out of the game, if your total of lives reaches zero (or below). The game will be played until only one player is left.

Using six dices, you are able to reach a maximum total of 6 x 6 = 36 points. If your total is above 30, you can try to throw penalty points for the next player. The amount of penalty point you can throw is your total minus 30. If for example your total is 33, you can throw 33-30 = 3 penalty points. This means that you now can throw all the dices, and every 3 you see, are three penalty points for your opponent. Hold each three and throw again. If you see another three, hold it too to add more penalty points. If you don’t see anymore three’s after a throw, your turn ends and all the penalty points are removed from the lives from the next player.

Note: If you are able to hold all dices with the same penalty points, you are allowed to continue with all the six dices for a new round. The total amount of penalty points are stored, and each new dice will be added tot the penalty total.

Each round you play without dying you will earn 1 point. If you are able to throw penalty points against the next player, you will earn as much points for every penalty points you throw.

Battle Of Sudoku

Do you love Sudoku and want to play against a friend? Battle Of Sudoku is a multiplayer version of the puzzle game of Sudoku that you play against other players or a team. The primary objective is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 subgrids (also called “boxes”, “blocks”, or “regions”) contain all of the digits from 1 to 9. Before you start a new puzzle, you can set the difficulty level in the game options to a number between 1-6. One is the easiest and six is the hardest level. The level is used to place some numbers on the sudoku-grid which all players must solve at the same time.

When the game starts, every player is shown the exact same puzzle which they need to solve. There are two modes in which you can play. The mode is configured in the game options and is called: “Show the correct numbers of your opponent”. This option means that every number that is added to the solution is shown on the screen of every player. Each correct number earns you points and you are not allowed to place the same number that was placed by another player. This means you must be the first one to have a number correct in order to earn the points.
When this option is disabled, no-one sees the correct numbers from other players in their grid thus allowing the same numbers to be used to for players to earn points with.

Time-outs
When a player places a number in the puzzle that is not correct, this player receives a time-out. He / she is not able to execute any action whilst the other players can still place their numbers. The length of the time-out can be configured in the game options. The default is set to 30 seconds.

Points
Whenever you have placed a number correctly you will earn points. The amount of points you can earn is based on the level of the puzzle you have selected. How higher the level, the more points you can earn for each correct number. However, if you place an incorrect number, you will lose points. The amount of points is half the amount of points you can earn when having it correctly.

Winning the game
The game ends when the puzzle has been solved and all numbers are filled within the grid correctly. The person that has earned the most points, wins the game. If you have disabled the option to view the correct numbers of other players, the game ends when ONE player has found the solution. Note that this does not give any extra points to that player, so other players are still able to win the game when they made lesser mistakes than person that solved it.

Teamplay vs Individual play
This game has a special teamplay option that allows two teams to compete against eachother. When joining a game, you can select your team (1 or 2). If a minimum of two players have joined one of the two teams they are part of that team. When playing in team each point you win is added to the total score of that team. Also the notes and filled colors are shared between all team members. This allows for specific co-op solving techniques to complete the puzzle as a team.

Tools for solving
Under the puzzle, a toolbar is available that you can use to solve the puzzle and add personal hints and clues within the puzzle grid. These tools are as follows:

-Pen Tool
The pen tool is activated by clicking on the pen icon. If it is enabled, the pen-icon lits up and enables the pen/notes-mode. Select the number you want to use for making notes and click on an empty square in the puzzle grid. A mini-number is added to that square. If you select another number and click on the same square, also the other number is added to the same square. If you use a small-number that is already shown in that square, it will be removed from that square.

-Fill Mode
The paint-button icon is used to enable fill-mode. When this button is clicked, the fill mode is enabled when clicking on a square in the puzzle. You can click on any square (also the solved ones) to change the background color of the square.

Pesten With Cards

Pesten With Cards is a classic Dutch card game that litteraly means Bullying With Cards. Other countries play similair games like Mau-Mau, Crazy Eights, Shedding, Puque, Чешский Дурак, Фараон, Крокодил, Tschau Sepp or Uno. The goal of the game is to be first to get rid of all of one’s cards. The winner will have to say “Last Card” before playing its winning card. If you forget to say “Last Card” when playing your winning card you must picks two cards as a penalty.

The game can be played with multiple decks of cards that also include the jokers. Each player is dealt 7 cards and the rest are placed face down as the stock or stack. At the beginning of the game the topmost card is revealed and placed face up on the table. Then the players take it in turns (clockwise) to play their cards. Note that if a “Pest-card” is shown at the start, it must be executed as if the dealer has played this card.

When it’s your turn, you must play one of your cards by sliding it to the pile. You can only play a card that has the same number, or has the same suit of the card on the pile. Exception to these are the Jokers and Jacks, which can be placed on every card. If you are not able to play any card from you hand, you must pick a card from the stock that will be added to your cards on hand. If this card would fit on the pile, you are asked if you want to play it immediately, or keep it on hand.

-Last card
When you have played a card and you only have one card left, it is required to say: “Last Card” by clicking on the “Last Card” button above your cards. This will inform everyone that you only have one card left. If you forget to say it, and actually play your last card to win the game, you will get a penalty of two cards from the stock and your last card will not be played. Also if you say “Last Card” incorrectly, you will also get a penalty of two cards. Note that you can always press the “Last Card”-button even when it’s not your turn, to make sure that you are able to say it before you play your last card.

If you are able to play your last card on the pile, you win the round. However your last card may not be one of the special cards (see below, which cards have a special meaning).

-Special Cards
Every time a card is placed on the pile, it is determined if this card is a special card. The number or type of the card determines the action that must be performed. In the Netherlands, there are a lot of variations of the actions that are performed when playing a card thus you are able to configure these in the game options, so make sure to set these in the same way you are used. The following actions are available:

  • Joker
The next player must pick 5 cards from the stack. If that player has a joker in hand, it can also play that joker, after which the player after that must pick 10 cards from the stack. Each played joker adds 5 cards to be picked. If you need to pick cards, you are not allowed to play any of them, and the next player must play.
  • Two
The next player must pick 2 cards from the stack. If that player has a 2 in hand, it can also play that 2, after which the player after that must pick 4 cards from the stack. Each played two adds 2 cards to be picked. If enabled in the options, it is also possible to play a joker on a two, adding 5 cards to be picked. It is not possible to play a two on a joker. If you need to pick cards, you are not allowed to play any of them, and the next player must play.
  • Seven
You must play another card on this again. Don’t forget to say “Last card”, if you play a seven and you can also play your last card. If you are not able to play a card on the seven, you must then pick a card from the stack.
  • Eight
The next player skips a turn and the player after that can play now. When you are playing this card with two players, this means you can play another card again. (Similair to Seven).
  • Ten
Everyone must give one of their cards from their hand, to the left player. Click on the card you want to give, and when everyone has selected their card, the cards are exchanged.
  • Jack
A jack can always be played and it isn’t required to match the suit of the jack with the suit of the pile card. When you play a jack, you can decide what the suit must be. The next player must then play a card in that suit (or a another Jack or Joker).
  • King / Ace
The order of playing is reversed meaning that the turns are now counter-clockwise instead of clockwise. If the order was already counter-clockwise, it returns back to clockwise. The order of play, does not affect the Ten card. Cards are always given to the left player. Note that Ace and King are both mentioned here, as different variations use both. Thus make sure that in the options, only one of them is selected. The default setting used is Ace and the King does nothing. When you are playing this card with two players you can play another card again. (Similair to Seven).

Extra Rules
Pesten also has extra rules not related to specific cards. These extra rules can also be enabled / disabled in the game options. Make sure you select your preferred rules before starting the game. These rules are:

  • Jokers on two’s
If a two is played, you can put a joker on it to add 5, to the pick-count. Enabled by default.
  • Reverse card on jokers on two’s
When you must pick cards (joker or two), you can play a reverse card (king / ace) so that the previous player must pick the cards instead. That player can play a two or joker or reverse it again. Disabled by default.
  • Immediately play a picked card
If you cannot play a card, you must pick a card from the stock. When this new card would fit the pile, it can be played immediately. Enabled by default.
  • Play after penalty pick
If you pick penalty cards (joker or two), you can play a card after you’ve picked them. Disabled by default.
  • Cannot win with special card
The last card you play cannot be a special card. Enabled by default.
